macbeth au » modern military

while returning to base from a gruesome battle lt. macbeth happens upon three local women who deliver him a prophecy. they tell him that he will receive a promotion from his king (major), then become king himself. at first he dismisses the news, until major duncan honors macbeth with a higher title after discovering the former thane of cawdor had been conspiring with their enemies.

macbeth tells his closest ally, sgt. lady, of the news and he concocts a plan to bring truth to the weird women’s words. together, the two kill major duncan in his sleep and blame the crime on a group of privates. fearing their safety, captains malcom and donilbain flee and are reported missing in action.

to cover their tracks and ensure macbeth’s kingship, macbeth continues to kill. he even goes so far as to kill a local family with whom lt. macduff had bonded with. macduff and malcom together decide to seek vengeance and take back the ranks that rightfully belong to them.

as macbeth’s reign of terror continues lady loses his mind. he begins walking and talking in his sleep. consumed by guilt and madness, lady takes his own life. the message of his death is delivered to macbeth the day of macduff and malcom’s return.

macbeth fights through his grief and continues on in battle. when he finally faces macduff, macbeth is slain and malcom takes his rightful place as king.

Can. Can we talk about how Nate Fick would be the most terrifying Macbeth ever?

I’ve been itching to share this for a while now. My last project was Cinderella, and since there’s already one version of Cinderella for Far Faria, I decided to do a Filipino version version just to mix it up.
